This Guide was written as a practical, learn on your own, guide. Instead of the usual large lists of functions and options, this guide takes a "if you want to do X, then this is how you do it" approach. Everything is illustrated by actual examples and each section starts with a short summary including commands and examples.
A guide to Matlab is divided into three parts:
Part I: Running Matlab (basics, including a sample session)
Part II: Matlab Operations (organized by topics instead of by functions)
Part III:Special Topics (equations, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, matrix power models, and advanced linear algebra).
For the Present only Part I is available on this site. (The original format of the text makes conversion to web format a lengthy process). You may make a single copy for your personal use.
